In October, I went to the Austin Film Festival, which was a mix of attending panels, seeing movies, and networking.
It was a lot of fun, but at the end of the four days, I remember thinking the real MVP of the festival was my setting powder.
Funny, but true!
Since I work from home, I don’t wear makeup as often as I did when I was working my retail job. But I am always down to try new products and want items that are going to last all day or night, so I don’t have to worry about how things look.
One brand I really like is Lunar Beauty β Manny MUA’s brand. For the longest time, the brand was sticking to eyeshadow palettes and lip products, which I liked, but I only need so many of those π
However, in the last year, they’ve branched out and are offering more products, including the Lunarversal Setting Powder!
When they announced the launch of this, I put it on my calendar so I wouldn’t miss it.
This powder promised to be lightweight and pore-blurring (two of my favorite things), and it’s offered in 4 shades β pink, light, medium, and deep.
After using (and loving) the Kylie Cosmetics’ pink setting powder, I knew I wanted to get the pink; I feel it gives a youthful look.
I ordered it as soon as it launched, and used it for the first time during the Film Festival… and I was blown away!
The powder is very finely milled, so it is lightweight and thin, but it doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines. It’s also talc-free and oil-absorbing.
It comes with a velour puff to apply the powder, which is really nice. I use the puff to set my under eyes, and then use a big fluffy brush to set my entire face.
I use cream bronzer and blush, and this is such a nice way to set it. I honestly cannot believe the quality of this powder β it looks like I have flawless skin when I wear it β especially for the price (under $30).
I will forever be buying this powder!
