A Review: Fresh Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm.

When I worked at Ulta, part of the job was learning about the brands and products we sold.

Having been a beauty and skincare junkie for years, there are some brands and products I already knew a lot about just from doing research and using them firsthand.

But, sometimes, brands would send representatives to the store to show us new products or sit down with us and tell us the brand story, mission, and ingredients they used.

Fresh was a brand that came by before the store opened, set up a beautiful table, and showed us a dozen various products that we could sample right there.

Fresh is a brand I’ve tried before — I remember being REALLY excited when their products finally became available at Ulta — but I was always curious if they were as good of a brand as they seemed.

It turns out they really do use the best ingredients available, and they care a lot about sourcing. One of their anti-aging serums uses lilypads from a female-owned far in Alabama. How cool?!

Anyway, I’m here to talk about the Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm because I have been using it all the time now that the weather is cooler.

When I was in Indiana a few weeks ago, I knew I was going to need ALL the best moisturizing products I had, and this was one of the first items on my list.

I have two flavors of the stuff: the coconut and the mango. I love them both… and they are fun to mix! I’m currently using the coconut one.

When I bought them, I assumed I’d mostly use them before bed as an overnight treatment. While I have done that, they are light and moisturizing — perfect for anytime wear!

These lip balms have sugar (hydrating, conditioning), apricot kernal oil (nourishing, hydrating), vitamin E (soothes, protects), and grapeseed oil (smooths, softens).

I apply this balm throughout the day on bare lips, but it’s also nice with a lip liner for evening. If you’re looking for a good lip balm this winter, I’d go for this one — the caramel would be fab!

Have you tried any products from Fresh?
