A Review: Banish Pumpkin Enzyme Mask.

Growing up, I did not have great skin. As a teenager, I had frequent breakouts and knew nothing about taking good care of my skin.

But, I was always under the impression that once I became an adult, my acne would disappear. Thinking about it now, it seems so silly that I thought — POOF! — I’ll have clear skin!

In fact, after I graduated college and started working as a bartender and waiting tables, my skin was even worse. I had cystic acne and had to cover it for work, which didn’t help… it was a giant mess, and I felt like I tried everything I could.

So, I went into a local spa and asked if they could help me. I was desperate.

They offered up a detox facial, and I think luck was on my side, because I got the most compassionate esthetician who educated me about my skin.

I got weekly facials until things cleared up enough and tapered them off; I also bought all new skincare products and vowed to skip makeup on my days off from work.

That was 15 years ago, and since then, I still look for products that will keep my pores clear and acne at bay. At 38, I’m also trying to balance products that nourish my skin and protect it from aging.

So, when I found out about Banish, I was excited to try several of their products, but one really caught my eye: the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask!

About the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

Pumpkin has so many amazing benefits for the skin, including improving its tone, texture, and elasticity.

The Pumpkin Enzyme Mask exfoliates using natural AHAs, so you don’t have to worry about scrubbing too hard.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks, 2-3 times weekly, and I love it!

When you open the jar, the pumpkin scent is noticeable, so you know you’re getting lots of vitamins in each use. Upon applying the mask, it does tingle a bit (natural and is expected).

How I use the pumpkin mask

I keep it on for 10 minutes, and it doesn’t dry down or feel itchy. It rinses off easily, and my skin feels better right away.

I love using it before bed, applying a moisturizing serum after, and admiring how my skin looks in the morning.

Banish uses glass jars for their products, and as someone trying to be as eco-friendly as possible, I really appreciate this. They also have a recycling program, so when you send jars back, you can earn cash for future purchases.

I also want to note that Banish is a female-owned and operated small business based in California, and their mission is to spread positivity and confidence — we need more of this in the world!

If you’re interested in Banish skincare, check out their money-saving bundles. I’ll report back on their other products as I use them 🙂
