ora subscription

Inside my Ora Subscription box.

About four months ago, I started taking daily collagen. I ordered it from the same place I’d been ordering my multi-vitamins. I was taking the collagen for a few days (putting it into my coffee), when I realized it was unlikely that it was a vegan product.

I admit, I am not always good about checking to see if everything I eat or take is vegan, but I am trying to get better about it. When I did the research, this collagen was definitely NOT vegan.

I used what I’d purchased (I won’t waste), but I did some research to find a good vegan collagen. The good news is, there’s a lot of options when it comes to vegan collagen.

I came across Ora and their entire website is vegan vitamins and supplements. I also love that it has a lot of information about the products and how your body absorbs them.

They have a really great (no, this is not sponsored) subscription program that gets you 20% off the items you need. You can change what’s in your subscription and you can skip a month or change the date of delivery, depending on what you need.

Over the last four months, I’ve changed up my order so I could try new items. So far, I really love everything I’ve tried. Here’s what I’ve been buying:

Vitamin D Tablets

I recently started taking these because they help your immune system and well, pandemic. I stopped taking my multivitamin because it was also not vegan, so this was something I wanted to add to my daily regimen.

Turmeric Curcumin Pills

I started taking this to help my joints. It reduces inflammation and I thought it would help me as I continue to attempt at-home workouts 🙂 It also has lots of antioxidants.

Apple Cider Vinegar Pills

Before discovering Ora, I was taking ACV gummies… not vegan. So, I added these to my subscription and it makes taking it every day so much easier. ACV is supposed to help curb cravings and it slows the absorption of sugar into the blood.

Collagen-Boosting Powder

This comes in several flavors, but I have only tried the vanilla. I put it into my coffee every morning and I love it. I have seen a lot of improvement in my nails — they grow faster and are stronger. My hair stylist also said my hair is growing faster.

Probiotics with Prebiotics Powder

If you eat a vegan diet, it’s a good idea to be on a probiotic. However, probiotics don’t agree with everyone. I am still trying this out to see if it’s right for me. The flavor is good. There’s also another probiotic from Ora that’s specifically for women, so I may try that as well.

Golden Milk Powder

Ora sent me a 5-serving sample of this one month and it was so good! You can mix in the powder with smoothies or baked goods. I made lattes with it and it was delish.

There are still several more items I want to try from Ora, and I’m slowly adding them to my box. This month, I added the pre-workout powder to see if it helps me get a good boost before i take my at-home barre classes.

I also want to try their protein powder, because it’s difficult to find a vegan protein powder — theirs comes in vanilla, chocolate, or vanilla chai — that’s not loaded with sugar.

And… I realized that my sleep-aid that I’ve been taking is also NOT vegan. It’s honestly crazy because sleep is the entire reason I try to stick to a plant-based diet anyway. So, once I finish my current supply, I want to try Ora’s sleep-aid.

If you want to try Ora, I have a $5 coupon for you! I’d love to know if you try it out and what items you get 🙂
