A Review: Forever Summer Limited Edition Birchbox.

Monday is HERE and I’m a little bit excited to kick off the week. After being in such a work slump for nearly a month, I am starting a new contract job today! I spent yesterday prepping for the week, doing everything I could to make this week run as smooth as possible.

But, I am finally ready to share a review of my Forever Summer Limited Edition Birchbox! I bought this for myself as a Mother’s Day gift, being a cat mom and all. There were so many goodies in it, it took me a little bit to try everything out enough to offer my opinion.

If you’re not familiar with Birchbox, they are a monthly subscription service that sends beauty samples. I have had a subscription for four years now, and not only do I get to try lots of fun beauty products this way, I really just enjoy getting the box every month.

But, every season they release a limited edition box for a price separate from your monthly subscription. When I saw the Forever Summer box, I was so amazed at what was in it, for just $62 — the items add up to $274.

Here’s the scoop on the Forever Summer box:

Long weekends at the beach, family barbecues, or just five minutes alone while the kids play in the backyard—whatever summer means to you, this bag captures all the easy, laidback vibes of the warmer months.

This kit includes:

Pūrlisse Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask – 6 Pack – Full-size

This was one of the items that really convinced me to purchase this! I am a sucker for a face mask and this being a pack of six… amazing! I’ll admit, I don’t love these as much as the jelly-masks, but they smell like watermelon and make my skin feel moisturized and fresh. I have used other Pūrlisse products before and they never disappoint. (Amazon, $18, 6-pack)

Wander Beauty Mile High Club™ Volume and Length Mascara – Full-size

Okay, so, I have tried a million mascaras and a few months ago, I was thinking wow, why is it so dang difficult to find a mascara that makes my lashes just more VISIBLE? And then I used this and I am pretty sure it’s the best mascara ever. I’m not kidding. The brush is just a simple brush, no crazy shape. It gets mascara on all of my lashes and doesn’t feel heavy. I will definitely be repurchasing this one. (Amazon, $26)

Bumble and bumble. Surf Spray – Travel-size

I haven’t tried many products from Bumble and Bumble so I was excited for this one. I love the smell and it’s the perfect size for traveling. I use “wave” sprays all the time when I need more volume or body in my hair. (Amazon, $27, 4.2 oz)

COOLA® Sport Classic Moisturizer SPF 50 – White Tea – Full-size

COOLA is the queen of SPF products and this is no different! This stuff is great by the pool or for everyday use under makeup. I have been carrying it in my purse for use whenever I feel like I’m in the sun. It’s lightweight and it smells so good! (Amazon, $32, 1.7 oz)

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream – Travel-size

I would have never tried Oribe products if it weren’t for Birchbox — I am not very well-versed in hair products (but I’m getting there!). Oribe always has theu good stuff and while I’ve only used this a few times, it’s a great product that doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy. (Amazon, $52, 5 oz)

Georgette Klinger Vitamin C Cleansing Gel – Full-size

This was another item I really wanted to try. I always hear about how great vitamin c is for our skin, so this had to be great! I have been using it with my Clarisonic and it’s very gentle. I saw there are other vitamin c products by this brand, so I want to try those as well.

tarte Rainforest of the Sea™ 4-in-1 setting mist – Full-size

Tarte is a brand that continues to impress me. I don’t know if this setting spray beat my all-time love: the Morphe Continuous Setting Spray, but I will say the Tarte spray smells so good! It’s also very light and set my makeup enough to withstand the Texas heat and humidity. That’s a win! (Amazon, $43, 2.5 oz)

R+Co DARK WAVES Fragrance Gel – Full-size

The R+Co packaging is always so pretty and I know it’s not as important as the product inside, but it’s still very important! This is a gel, so it has a pump that puts out a pea-size amount of fragrance. I had never used anything like this, but I loved it! It smells fantastic, too and I think it would be great for travel.

Smith & Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer – Marriage No. 2 – Full-size

I actually already had this exact lip lacquer. I love Smith & Cult as a brand (they are female founded!). While the color looks so bright in the tube, it’s sheer, which means you can wear it all the time. It’s glossy but not sticky, and I think the name is hilarious 🙂

rms beauty™ luminizer X quad – Full-size

This was the only product I didn’t really love. I love bold, blinding highlights and these were very subtle. I am still trying to find different ways to use them — they would likely be great on the eyelids for a no makeup look. If you like cream highlighters, especially more low-key shimmers, you’d enjoy these. I do like the compact! (Amazon, $32)

…And all of this stuff came in a super cute, clear bag that’s big enough to be a purse! Definitely perfect for the beach or even for a concert. I was so excited just about the bag.

Totally worth the $62, and now I’m paying MUCH more attention to other Limited Edition boxes.
