If you’ve been reading my beauty reviews for a while, you might remember that I used to shop a lot of Laura Geller back when the brand was sold at Ulta.
Their baked powders were basically my personality for a few years. But once Ulta stopped carrying the line, I admittedly drifted away… not because I stopped liking the products, but because they just weren’t right in front of me anymore.
Recently, I decided it was time for a reunion — and I picked up two things that immediately caught my eye: the Serum Blush Cheek Tint and the Dual-Ended Blush + Bronzer Brush. And honestly? I’m so glad I gave the brand a second look.
Serum Blush Cheek Tint
I’ve been on a blush kick all year, especially anything sheer, glowy, and easy, and this one checks every box.
The Formula
Laura Geller describes this as a “watercolor-like flush,” and that’s precisely what it feels like — lightweight, blendable, and completely foolproof. It’s a serum texture enriched with:
- Hyaluronic Acid — the hydration hero that pulls moisture into the skin
- Polysaccharide — a skin-barrier supportive moisturizing ingredient
Because it’s serum-based, it melts into your makeup without disturbing what’s underneath (a BIG win if you’ve ever had cream products lift your foundation).
The Shade I Tried: Practical Pink
This shade is chef’s kiss if you love a soft, bubblegum pop of color. It gives that healthy, fresh-faced flush without leaning too bright or too muted. It’s one of those “you look alive now!” shades.
Performance
- Buildable — one dab for daytime, a little more for evening
- Hydrating without looking greasy
- Smooth blend even over powder
- Doesn’t break up base makeup (rare for a serum texture!)
Bonus: it comes with a replacement sponge tip applicator, which is genius and makes the packaging feel more thoughtful and clean.
Dual-Ended Blush + Bronzer Brush
I will forever be a sucker for a dual-ended brush. They’re so travel-friendly and practical — toss one in your makeup bag and suddenly you have a whole face of tools in one stick.
What I Love
- One side has angled bristles perfect for blush or soft contouring
- The other side is fluffier and ideal for bronzer or blending
- Great for sculpting, diffusing color, or applying cream and powder
It’s sturdy without being bulky, and honestly, it feels more expensive than it is. I’ve used it for blush, bronzer, highlight, and even setting powder. It’s that versatile.
Final Thoughts
I’m thrilled I gave Laura Geller another shot — the serum blush has already earned a spot in my daily rotation, and the dual-ended brush is now a permanent resident of my makeup bag. The brand may not be sitting on Ulta’s shelves anymore, but the quality is absolutely still there.
If you’re looking for:
- a blush that’s light, hydrating, and easy
- a brush that pulls double (or triple) duty
- products that feel polished but not fussy
…these two are definitely worth checking out.
