Lately, I’ve been loving skincare that feels as good as it looks — especially anything with a cooling, refreshing, or depuffing effect. So when I realized that my I Dew Care Chill Mo-Mint Soothing Mask and Clarins Cryo-Flash Instant Lift Effect & Glow Boosting Mask gave me similar results, I had to do a deeper dive: could the Chill Mo-Mint mask be a cheaper dupe for the luxe Clarins version?
Let’s break it down.
First Impressions
I Dew Care Chill Mo-Mint
❄️ Feels like mint chocolate chip ice cream on your face (in the best way)
❄️ Lightweight, creamy clay texture

Clarins Cryo-Flash
❄️ Luxe gel-cream formula with a high-end feel
❄️ Very cold on application — the “cryo” effect is real
❄️ Designed to deliver visible lifting and glow in just 10 minutes

My Experience
When I use the I Dew Care Chill Mo-Mint, it feels refreshing and soothing. It’s great for calming down after a long day or cooling off post-sun. The light clay formula gives a bit of a detoxifying effect, and the scent is genuinely a treat.
The Clarins Cryo-Flash feels colder and more intense — not in a bad way, just very “wake up your skin!” It’s a treat-yourself mask that really does leave your skin feeling lifted and radiant, but it comes at a much higher price.
So… Is Chill Mo-Mint a Dupe?
✅ Yes — for the cooling, soothing feel and hydration boost.
🚫 Not quite — if you’re looking for anti-aging, pore-minimizing, or a clinical-level tightening effect.
If you just want that icy, refreshing, skin-soothing effect (especially in the summer), the I Dew Care Chill Mo-Mint is a fantastic alternative at a fraction of the price.
Where to Find Them
- I Dew Care Chill Mo-Mint – available at Ulta, Amazon, and other drugstores (~$15)
- Clarins Cryo-Flash – available at Sephora, Clarins, Ulta or department stores (~$70)
Final Thought
Both masks have a place in my beauty cabinet, but they serve different purposes. Chill Mo-Mint is a budget-friendly, calming treat; Cryo-Flash is a splurge-worthy skincare boost when you want to feel pampered and see instant results.
Have you tried either of these? I’d love to hear your thoughts — and if you’ve found another good dupe, let me know!
