My Spring Thrift Finds.

I recently cleaned out my closet… and by that I mean I got rid of 75% of my clothes!

I’m planning to write an entire post on it because it took me a while and was, at times, emotional. However, as I was cleaning things out, I made note of some items I needed to replace or purchase. For example, I really needed a nice, plain white t-shirt!

So, I treated myself to a bit of a ThredUp haul to replace some of what I got rid of. I also shopped for some items I’ve had on my Pinterest style board for a while, such as trousers.

And yes, I’m still buying Tommy Hilfiger items — I read his memoir, “American Dreamer” last summer (my full review of it is here), and fell in love.

Here’s what I found:

As you can see, I found a fresh white tee!

I also got two “flowy tops,” I find I gravitate toward these because they are comfortable and flattering. I’ve already worn the black once twice and have gotten so many compliments on it!

In my previous haul, I got a cream v-neck sweater and saw this light blue one during this shopping trip. I love the cream once so much, I was excited to find another one in a different color.

At least a year ago, a retailer I like had these emerald silky trousers… I wanted them so bad! But, they were $90 and there’s just no way I could justify that kind of spending.

Since then, I’ve been on the hunt for trousers that I could dress up or down. I love the idea of wearing work-type trousers with a graphic tee and sneakers.

I finally found several at ThredUp. The silver pair are 100% silk and were $40. The wine pair are from Express and were under $10, while the camel pair are heavier (would be great for fall or winter) and were also around $10.

Finally, I got this Angela Roi mustard crossbody — partly because I loved the crisp shape and the color, but also because I got rid of SO many of my bags during my closet cleanout (this part was the most difficult for me).

Admittedly, I’d never heard of Angela Roi bags, and when I saw this one in person, it’s beautiful! She creates vegan leather pieces and I’m so grateful to have this one to use now. I just love it!
