This spring, I started rethinking my makeup routine.
As the weather warmed up, I wanted something a little lighter — something that felt like skincare but still gives me a little coverage.
That search led me to the Live Tinted Hueguard Skin Tint SPF 50, and I’ve been reaching for it ever since.
Let’s talk about what it is first: Hueguard is a mineral sunscreen with SPF 50, but it also doubles as a lightweight skin tint with buildable coverage.
It’s packed with skincare ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Indian Gooseberry, and Butterfly Bush Flower Extract, which is a pretty dreamy combo if you’re trying to simplify your morning routine.
Think: hydration, sun protection, and a natural finish — all in one step.
I picked up shade 11, which blends beautifully into my skin. One pump is enough to cover my entire face and neck, leaving me with a radiant, even-toned finish.
I’d describe the coverage as light to medium — enough to tone down redness or uneven spots without masking your skin.
Some days I set it with powder, and some days I don’t — either way, it wears really well and still looks fresh hours later.
One thing I appreciate is how comfortable it feels on my skin. The formula has a gel-cream texture, and it somehow manages to feel weightless and hydrating at the same time.
There’s no white cast (thank you, non-nano Zinc Oxide) and it’s fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist tested — which is great if your skin is even a little bit picky.
I’ll admit I was initially drawn to Hueguard because of the SPF, but what really surprised me is how beautiful the finish is.
It’s natural, glowy, and just enough to make me feel polished without looking like I’m wearing makeup. It’s officially earned a permanent spot in my warm-weather rotation.
Also worth noting: Live Tinted is a clean, vegan, cruelty-free brand, and their pigments are Carmine-free, which can be tough to find in complexion products.
I love the values behind the brand, and now that I’ve tried Hueguard, I’ve got my eye on a few more things from them — namely the Hueglow Jumbo Highlighter Drops, Huebeam Gradient Blushing Bronzer, and Blush Crush Liquid Blush.
If the textures and finish are anything like Hueguard, I have a feeling I’ll love those too.
